Summer Fun

Summer is coming to an end. It sure went too fast for me. The kids all started school this week. Courtney and Cameron even have classes at high school together. Steve is getting the sprinklers in our backyard and we hope to lay the sod in the next month. We can't believe that Christmas is only a little over 3-months away. Here are a few more pictures of the whole gang on the 4th of July. I also included a few from Steve, Courtney and Cameron's trip to Virgina last week. And Cameron's "Super Sixteen" Birthday. (He had his friends dress as super hero's) They ran around and performed "Super" task around the community Uncle Jim's farewell was great. I enjoyed seeing all his kids and their kids. Uncle Jim's Farewell

Hello All Fellow Haupts,
I just recieved a phone call from Uncle Jim. He wants everyone that can to please attend his "Speaking Assignment" (There are no longer farewells). They will be speaking this Sunday, August 27th, 1:00PM at the Springville 1st ward, 200 North 900 East, Springville, UT. They will be meeting at his house after to eat. They would appreciate seeing you there, and if you could bring any food to share. We will be attending if you want to follow us down.

Nanna mentioned that we should post some pictures of Emma, so here they are. She is 3 and 1/2 months old. We love you all and hope you are doing well.

Brad and I just wanted to let everyone know our new address and email address since we are moving this weekend. We are going to be renting his parents house while they are enjoying retirement by traveling the country in an RV for the next year or so.

Haupt Homestead

The "Good Ole Summer time" is almost behind us. WOW it sure went fast. Today is Cameron's "Sweet 16th Birthday". He is celebrating by attending EFY all week. Kandace has to have her tonsils out a week from today. And I am finally done with my chemo treatments for this pesky skin cancer, now just 4-weeks of a cream to heal my scary sore. We enjoyed seeing so much family this summer. We are enjoying the fruits of our labors, planting a garden. We have Zucchini and tomatoes coming on like crazy. Rebekah asked for my Zucchini Bread Recipe when she was here. So, since I made some for the first time in four years this week, I thought of her. So here is the recipe for her, and anyone else that would like to try it. Hope you are all having a wonderful summer too. Love to all. Enjoy! ~Karen :)
Zucchini Bread
1 Cup Oil- (I also like to use applesauce instead of oil)
3 Eggs 2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Cups Flour 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Soda 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. Cinnamon 1 tsp. Nutmeg
3 tsp Vanilla 2 Cups Grated Zucchini
1 Cup Chopped Nuts 1 Cup Chocolate Chips (Optional)
Preheat oven to 350. Beat eggs, brown sugar and oil. Add flour,soda, salt,cinnamon,vanilla and nutmeg. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into two greased loaf pans, or six mini loaf pans. Bake 50-55 minutes.
