Jacob enters the MTC

Last night we were able to go with Jake as he was set apart as a "Full Time Missionary". This was an unforgetable night, and we are so lucky that Jake asked us to attend. Today, we got to take Elder Haupt to the MTC. As we were unloading, Jake realized that he didn't know were his vaccation sheet was, so he opened up his suitcase, (Yes, that is a Ninja Turtles pillowcase). He did find the sheet, so he could enter the MTC. Next he picked up his offical "Elder Haupt" name tag. I got to try and place it on him, Steve had to jump in and save me. It's offical, Elder Haupt is on his mission now. He would love...love...love to hear from everyone. Here is his MTC address, until September 16th, when he leaves for California, Carlsbad Mission.

Jacob's Farewell

Jacob did a wonderful job at his farewell. He taught us about the Oath and Covenant (OC). He will go into the Mission home on August 27th. We will post his mission address as soon as we get it. We enjoyed seeing all the family together for this exciting occasion. Thanks for being willing to serve, and a great example to others Jake!

Haupt Family Reunion-2008

Now that I have finally almost figured out how to post, I will share more photos. I am sure you will be, well, surprised at some of the happenings! I guess what happens at family reunions does not stay at family reunions. I have a ton more pictures, but so do many others, so I will try to make this the last of mine! A great time was had by all, and I think, most especially Uncle Floyd. I think the reunion was really planned to give us and him, one more chance for a great visit. The weather couldn't have been better, nor the food. We all took our turn in the kitchen, making light work for everyone. Hope all will plan on making it to the next one! But be aware--Uncle Jim is in charge!
