Yippee! Samual Graduates

Hey Everyone,

May 27th was Samual's BIG day. (Not the 29th like the sign read.)He is an official high school graduate/ He really didn't want to pictures taken (but we did anyway.) So here a few. I decided to post them right away or wouldn't get it done at all. You know me and pictures....

Samual said that he didn't feel any different now that he is a graduate. But we all know that he will when he gets to sleep in and not have to get up at 5:00a.m. for early morning seminary and then school. We're still not sure what he plans to do next. He says he is will be going to the local community college - when he final gets himself registered. Now we have 3 out of 4 graduated from high school. Yeah!

Westlee was honored by being asked to play in the "grad-band". Not many brothers can say that they played "Pomp and Circmstance" for his own brother's graduating class. Cool! (Westlee is on the back row - with his head down. He played the bass trombone.)

Here's a fun fact... Samual's is the last graduating class from the "orignal" Apopka High. They will tear down the building over the summer and Westlee will get to start attended the "new & improved" Apopka High School building this fall.

Bravo for the class of 2008!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Saturday we gathered all the Haupts we could find and went and visited Grandpa Noe's grave in Springville,UT. Grandpa Noe hasn't had that many vistors at one time in years. Keith and Adair did an amazing job cleaning up the headstone, triming the rose bush and planting gladiolas from Karen's yard. We then went and had a picnic at Salem pond. It was cold, but brought back alot of fun memories. We drove around and Shirl and Nedra Hanks were out in their yard so we stopped and visited for a minute. We had to stop at "Glades Drive-In" and get an ice cream, then drove by the high school to see the "Spirit Rock". Believe it or not, the spirit rock is completely duct taped and "Seniors" is painted in red. We had a good laugh, only in Spanish Fork. Oh, Salem Hills High will open this fall. Salem has it's own High School now. Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day!
