Here are my NEW knees

If a picture says a thousand words then this one says it all. This is what I have been up to for the last 5 months! Knee #1 and Knee #2! Bioniclly enhanced!
I am such an ugly scar maker. Can't wait until they fade. And... the swelling is still a part of my daily life. Can't wait for that to go away too!
So much for whining....
Ready or not! It's time for me to take my "new" knees back to school and be a kindergarten teacher. I start tomorrow, Nov. 1, 2010. I have my "quad-cane" for walking in the sand. My foot doctor suggested it because the tendionitis is acting up in that left ankle again. (That's why I am wearing the black brace.) In case you don't know what a "quad-cane" is... think of the old man on the movie "UP!" That's what I have minus the tennis balls. (But Westlee really wants me to go out and buy some to put on it. Nope! All they would do is fill with sand when I go out to the playground. I guess mine will remain "naked!") I have my regulare can for in the classroom. AND... I have my walker for "emergencies" (like when I get really, really tired.) So... I must really be ready!
I am giving it my best and hoping to survive. I am still in physical therapy so after school for at least the next month I get to see my "terriorist" 3 times a week. Oh, boy! I have so much fun to look forward to. Whew! "If it doesn't kill you.... It will make you stronger!"
HELP!!! Everyone keep me in your prayers because I really need all the help I can get!
Just think... All you Utah family members get to see the improvements when Wylee and I come in December. Maybe I will be cane-free!

Well, we are officially in the apartment! We still have a lot of unpacking to do, but it is coming along.

We appreciate all Karen and Steve have done for us-we have the greatest kids in the world!
