Snow, snow and more snow!!!

This year has been one of the snowiest in the history of North Ogden. Between Christmas and mid-February, the weather station on the northeast Ogden bench recorded 107" of snowfall.

On Jan 8th we woke up to 12" of snow and by the end of the day had received another 8-10". It was an adventure getting the kids to school and back home. Despite getting stuck a couple of times we managed it safely.

Vicki said that she remembers school being cancelled in Yucaipa when they received .5" of snow one day.

On Sunday, Feb 5th we woke to another 10" of snow. Our church was cancelled because there was no way they could get the parking lots cleared by 9:00AM. We got 5-6" more snow during the day. Tony and I spent most of the day shoveling just to keep the sidewalks and driveway cleared.

These pictures are from a couple of days after the Jan 8th snowstorm.

The snow is threatening to overwhelm our fence.

Tony's Christmas tree graces the mountain of snow in our front yard.

Snow in the back yard.

I am digging out our mailbox. (Linda: notice the T-shirt)

Our sidewalk became a canyon!
