Knee #2 is scheduled!

Hi Family,
It's happening! My right knee replacement surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17th. Oh... I just can't wait to have it OVER!

You might think I am crazy to do both so close together but it is "buy one get one free" now through Oct. 1! And... my right knee is going fast. (It is so tired of doing all the work for so long.) Also... my doc says I will have a much speed-ier recovery with the second one because my brain will remember the healing process and let it happen faster. He also will "help" my left knee get past the stiffness. He is planning to "crack" the left knee while I am "under" with my right knee. (This means that he will make it move by sitting on it and pushing the bend until it "cracks" past the stiff point.) I will wake up with full range of motion - 0-135 degrees and I won't feel the pain! (That in itself may be a very good thing.) If I do feel anything the pain killers will help with that too. LOL!

I am still not a "poster child" for GET YOUR KNEE REPLACED TODAY campaign (have you seen the ads on tv lately?) but I can feel the improvements in my left knee. Maybe by Christmas I will be jumping for joy! That will be a great gift.

I won't be starting the kindergarten & seminary year until the end of September. Oh, my. The things I have to do to get a longer summer vacation! Whew!
